Here at Nashua Builders, we specialize in rustic luxury homes, also known as prefab and modular homes.
Colorado, Idaho, Utah, New Mexico and the rest of the western states are starting to melt off, and our summer cabins are calling to us for some warm weather fun.
However, your first trip to your cabin can always be a little rough as there is always some maintenance, cleaning and sprucing to be done to ensure you have an easygoing summer.
Check out these basics, or if you are aching for the perfect modular camping cabin of your very own, don’t forget to call Nashua.
Heating, Plumbing, and Electricity
Before you start getting your cabin ready, go through and check all appliances, heating and cooling units, plumbing and electricity. Some cabins have all the bells and whistles others only have a water pump. Either way, going through and making sure everything is in working order and getting repairs done early will ensure a fun and healthy summer.
Move all the furniture.
Even though the Rockies are notoriously dry, it is still important to pull out all furniture from the walls and check for water damage, mold, and bugs. While you will most likely just find a little dust, knowing this will help you rest easy during the rest of your relaxation time.
Windows and Bedding
Finally, make sure that all the windows, drapery, bedding, and upholstery are clean. Keeping these clean will make your cabin feel like the safe oasis that it is. You will also want to clean all of these again just before you close up the cabin again for the winter.
