The What’s and Why’s of Modular Buildings

If you’ve got a job that keeps you on the move, you may want to consider investing in a modular home or office.  Modular buildings offer the flexibility of transporting structures from the warehouse in which they were built to the sites on which you choose to settle, and they can be reused.  Though possible for permanent use, modular homes tend to be a bit more on the long-term temporary side, but they’re sturdier and of higher quality than mobile homes.

How Do Modular Buildings Differ from Mobile Homes?

First of all, modular buildings don’t carry axles or frames; they are transported on flat-bed trucks, enabling you to add entire sections or floors upon arrival.  Secondly, they conform to local building codes specific to regional weather hazards, etc., whereas mobile homes adhere to general federal standards.  Modular buildings also tend to have higher quality and stability, as they’re made of 10-20% more wood than on-site buildings and bypass the flimsy steel structures of mobile homes.

Why Choose Modular Buildings?

Let’s say you start a business somewhere out West, and the company soars off the charts.  You want to move to start another office, but you’re tied down to a home that cost you a great deal of money already.

If you had invested in a modular building instead, you could have the freedom to pick up that home (literally) and take it with you wherever you need to go.  That way, your investment follows you, and your business grows.

Modular buildings are also good for remote areas that make on-site assembly difficult, such as the icy tundras of Antarctica.  Modulars also serve as schools, construction camps, military housing, healthcare facilities, and churches, to name a few.

Benefits of Modular Buildings

Modular buildings tend to sell for lower prices for several reasons.  Firstly, since site work and structure-building can occur at the same time without waiting on one before starting the other, investors receive a faster return on their money and a speedier construction time.  Also, due to the fact that construction of modular buildings takes place indoors, progress is not hindered by inclement weather.

For all the above reasons, consider investing in one of Nashua Builders’ modular homes for sale in Utah, Colorado, or any western state.  They’re affordable, dependable, flexible, and guaranteed to fit your needs.
